I think you have misunderstood. I mean the OP complaining that the cabin crew incorrectly decided to not serve food in the cabin when that wasn't actually necessary.


In a different scenario (i.e. not the one the OP describes) where say I ordered a special meal and BA's caterer failed to load it then yes I would expect compensation of something for that, I think it is usually a few thousand avios.
