I have a severe nut allergy, carry an Epi-Pen, etc. It's not a joke. When I travel I assume that there will be nothing I can eat on board. I don't board a flight hungry, and take pre-packaged snacks that are safe for me to eat--even on a short flight. It's called having some personal responsibility rather than being a drama llama.
What I meant to say is that the menu on that 320 had only items with nuts, almonds, pine nuts or something like that. And given the severity of the allergy of the passenger they couldn’t take the risk… it was also a few days after the case of that poor teenage girl who passed away after eating a Pret baguette, so the crew were considerably twitchy.
