Planned cancellation and planned retiming should be easy to deal with. At least you will know about it in advance and take action.
Far more concerning would be last minute delays or cancellation (technical delay, weather etc.), particularly after you have gone airside.
If you are checked in and airside, and the flight gets cancelled or substantially delayed, it can be hard to book and reach an alternative flight in time (e.g. different LHR terminal). Of course, it will be even more difficult if you have checked baggage - retrieving them and rechecking them would be hard to do quickly.
If you want "safety", I would change your LHR-ARN to the day before, especially mid-December.
On the other hand, if you feel you can wear the potential consequence of having to make a fresh booking on your long haul sector and potential for the insurance not to cover your cost, and/or if your long haul sector is flexible*, then 5 hours and 50 min between scheduled arrival and scheduled departure is quite 'reasonable', so to speak.
* Quite a few airlines are now offering you excellent flexibility even on a low fare - as long as you don't no-show. Make sure you have means to contact them in case you are at risk of missing your flight! But do be prepared to pay the fare difference, which can be quite substantial, esp. at the last minute
