Again, you are putting words into my mouth lol. I said it is illegal to fly it over people without their consent (which is true in both the Maldives and the US) after you suggested I would do so. It is illegal and I was using that to demonstrate why the words you put in my mouth are not even reasonable. I did not say that anywhere in my original post. Rather, my original post said it is not allowed (which is the STR's policy). However, there is a ton of footage on DJI forums that seem to include the active knowledge of a staff member there.
It does not need to fly over me to be highly annoying, just zipping around constantly can be annoying enough. I am not the one to jump up and call the hotel to chase down the neighbours if they take a drone for a quick spin once. I am calm enough to brush it aside. But if there is a constant buzzing around I might bring it up.
At the St R I noticed a drone once, I was snorkeling at the time, so can't say I was bothered so did nothing. At the WA I have not noticed any drones. But if someone is packing 3, I could wonder how much the plan to fly. Or was the 3 just a joke?
