synergistic Thanks for your feedback, I think you may be thinking of the Wyvern in Punta Gorda its an Asend hotel. It looks nice and they want 30K points per night for my time period which is quites steep but it is a high end hotel, on the other hand the Comfort inn in Sarasota, also wants the same number of points and they are not anywhere as high end as the Wyvern or the Cambria in St Petes.. now I am only looking on the websites so cannot say from experience about any of these so was hoping someone who has stayed could say if they are worth it. I am mixed because I would like some kitchen amenities which the comfort suites has more of but that is a lot of points to spend for a mid level hotel.
What I find interesting is that The Comfort suites in Naples, when I try to make a reservation there if I say best rate or any rate it gives me prices, but if I change it to Points it still gives me prices or says the hotel is sold out. Either they don't want to give any rooms up for points which I am not sure they can do but clearly they have rooms available if they are showing rates.
