As post above QF will fly with unoccupied business class seats. With QF (and most non USA airlines) expect to fly in the seat you purchase. At T-80 and closer you may be able to select another seat allocation
thanks for the J and row 4 reminder. Also, “down the back” also means row 3 in the 737s. The only disadvantage here being you’re last to get your meal which may or may not be an issue. Row 3 can sometimes be an advantage if crew put their bags in the overhead bins at row 1.
