Question is at T48 does it allow free seat selection or will it be like exit row seats cant be booked. Seems from DXB its always 750 AED however outbound is where the price changes. I guess question is why does LHR have such a tax, maybe more premium traffic or people willing to pay

Ex LHR there is the higher rate of APD, which applies if you depart in any class higher than the lowest available. So wether you fly PE, J or F (or in the old days even Concorde), you pay this (in my view) in my view rather extortionate airport tax. The only way to avoid this is to get ‘on board upgrades’.
