The rental car apocalypse had me renting for the first time for Thrifty which had ridiculously cheap rates ($20 a day) at Denver airport. Way cheaper than same tier like companies like Sixt.

It shows everyone was using them as the pickup was slow and being Blue Chip saved me thirty minutes for pickup. Got a 50k Nissan Altima but other than the high mileage it was good. Dropped it off and there was no one there but an attendant told me to leave the keys note the mileage and get on the shuttle, since the office was now at least an hour deep with people trying to pick up cars

Never a fan of just drop and go as that means fuel level etc is up for dispute it's been three days and there is no charges on my card, and definitely no email or anything from Thrifty (I got the original contract emailed as part of Blue Chip but no car assigned till I picked one)

Is this typical? Just worried somehow the car didn't get checked in and they keep ticking my rental clock.
