Stayed here on an award using Bonvoy points.
Before my arrival, I sort of knew what to expect (which was set low as far as Marriott Titanium bennies, but favor it's location). It met my expectations.
Absolutely no bennies offered related to Marriott Elites, check in agent stated so. Fine, I didn't expect any. That meant no room UG (3rd fl room), no breakfast etc.
I found all staff was helpful when needed. For taxi service, bell-hop would wave or call. In conversation, he (they) tend to express the hard life living and working in Athens. I tipped them even though I knew Greece has a no tip system. They didn't seem to be offended. So all is good.
Room is small but everything functional. Daily room cleaning. Some days (2 out of 5) a large bottle of water was given, including the arrival day. Has a small frig which I found useful. Honestly, I didn't care much for the so called "Arts" in the hotel.
At night, there were plenty of noise around. Traffic, church bell (midnight and some other hours), garbage collection on the street (around midnight). There was a building being renovated next door. COVID protocol observed!
Location is great for me as I enjoy walking around Plaka and surrounding.
I probably would not stay here again, but I am speaking from a Bonvoy elite point of view. The noise issue bothered my sleep, that's a big negative.
I found to be fantastic during the pandemic. Less tourists and local life seemed normal.
