This was exactly the problem my friend had. DId send in all the photos of the damage, but TK flat out after approving all the provided evidence and document, the request has to be rejected because no irregularity report has been made at the airport. Seems that on their side zero interest to entertain this - and this was after flying J.
Rather frustrated with how TK are handling this - when it's clear quite a lot of stations are still not operating in pre-pandemic way. Will try now via her credit card company if they will cover this under the travel/baggage insurance.
