I'm doing MIA-LAX-MIA redeye return next weekend. Premium economy seats were almost all taken when i booked but J looked fairly empty. I'm guessing the upgrade list will be long. hopefully will clear in advance.
Chances may be worse than I thought. Hopefully some J pax are upgrade eligible for F.
MIA-LAX has 2 unassigned seats in F and 9 in J (EF shows F2 J4)
LAX-MIA is empty in F and only 8 open in J (EF shows F7 J7)
Depending on how things go between now and departure I may just take a credit and try another time.
