Check ‘em all tonight, folks!

Weird and random schedule changes tonight. I had flight numbers only change for 2 trips within the next 2 weeks. Other flight number changes in December, and two 739 flights going to 739MAX.

The craziest part was for just a few days, United took the daily E175 ORD-MBS-ORD off and turned them into CRJs for all of November, which was infuriating, especially with Nov being just a week away. Tonight they loaded back the E175! On one itinerary, I lost the F seat on my outbound, as after the change it moved me from a Z-class fare to a Y class fare bucket. On the return, I kept the D class fare, even though, for a few days, it showed me physically in Y on the new CRJ flight. Tonight, I’m still in a Y seat on the outbound E175, but back in a F seat on the return. There’s a phone call in my future tomorrow. I fear what less savvy flyers will end up with Y seats when they were abruptly downgraded a few days ago.

Also annoying was a midcon in 2 weeks, 777 (with “free” PP) became a 789–but they moved us to a different flight on a 737 an hour later. The flight time never changed, only the aircraft. I hope we don’t lose our place on the UG list (waitlisted for months with PlusPoints). Surely will discuss this on the phone tomorrow too.
