Hello all -- I'm hoping someone can digest the list of MEX lounges for me into an easier choice. Aeromexico international outbound flight, in business, have priority pass, have AmEx Platinum. It's an 8AM flight. We just want somewhere to sit for an hour with bubbles, coffee, and some simple decent food, hopefully that won't be packed solid with other guests.
I don't understand what is up with the Centurion Lounge. I read it was renovated, but I go to Google Maps for reviews, sort by "Most Recent", and literally every other review switches between "great service and free food" and "service sucks and nothing is free". It's very confusing.

With an AX Platinum, the Centurion beverages are complimentary, and you will be offered a limited menu to choose from. There is more widespread access for other cardholders, who will pay for their consumption. I've not passed through MEX during COVID, but note that historically the AX and AM lounges are really overcrowded and not terribly relaxing (although the AX lounge is much more relaxing than either AM lounge). There's another AM "Heineken" sponsored lounge way out by the commuter gates and that is the most peaceful lounge, with a nice bar setup, but with the most paltry of snack items.
