I never liked the concept of email/print-at-home boarding passes.

It takes two minutes to Inspect-element-your-way into having “Premier Access” which can help you out at the security queue, or some other analog element.

Sports teams have removed the option of print-at-home for a different reason along the same lines, being able to easily edit your way into better seats.... It’s either the actual stub from the box office or something on your phone (app based).
