Perhaps BA should apply a limit to its own rules for consistency and to stop people expecting to spend an entire day there.
The other point here is that it wouldn't surprise me if the lounge gets paid more for passengers booking directly with them vs PP or BA ones. Therefore they understandably prioritise them (particularly after the last 18 months). BA aren't a particularly big customer of MAN airport (compared with the low cost airlines, who in turn generate people who buy lounge access direct) and the same group also own Gatwick, where BA are reducing services. Why would they want to give them preferential treatment?
None of the lounges in MAN are amazing. I liked the BA one as it was generally quiet, but often the Escape Lounges have large groups in them. As
DYKWIA points out, plenty of other places to sit.
