Whilst consumers do have a right to dispute a transaction, chargebacks can be unlawful (that is an act that contrary to or unauthorised by law under an agreement or contract). If there was no contractual or legal right to reimbursement then the chargeback was contrary to the contract.
There is no suggestion that the chargebacks were fraudulent.
