Hello all,
I have read and understand the PQP (
https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly...ng-credit.html) especially the part
"For ticket numbers beginning with 016
, MileagePlus members will earn Premier qualifying point(s) equal to the farefootnote3,footnote4,footnote5,footnote6. For example, a MileagePlus member who purchased a $500 fare, traveling on a partner airline in a fare class eligible for award mile accrual, will earn 500 Premier qualifying points."
My question is:
I am searching for flight SIN-ORD. I want to maximize the PQP I will get, on UA metal.
I found some interesting outcome from UA flight booking site
Option 1 SIN-NRT; NRT-ORD (should be 016 ticket but operate by NH); round trip
Question 1: Base fare $2869 but apparently only 908 + 968 = 1876 PQP?
Option 2: SIN-NRT; NRT-EWR; EWR-ORD. (2nd, 3rd by UA metal) ORD-NRT; NRT-SIN (both NH)
Question 2: Base fare $2705 but the total PQP is 2325 + 1017 = 3342 PQP?
Question 3: Should I just trust the PQP listed on the website? Because I do not quite
Question 4: any tips to locate / design the flight that potentially maximize the PQP, or I just have to go through the extensive list of options?
Thanks!
