Regardless of the order in which they take orders, row 1 gets served first, so I prefer row 1. (There's also a little space in front of you to set items down... they used to put the snack baskets there sometimes though, but I doubt they do that these days.)
Don’t know if they are leaving snack baskets out in F recently, but they did have a snack basket sitting on the shelf in front of 6A/6C in J on my JFK-SFO flight last month.
