Yes, the truth is there's no guest #2, even the reservation says 2 guests, and I couldn't find anything in Marriott section 4.3 Elite Benefits states that person has to physically be there, therefore IMO I don't have to prove to hotel staff that I have guest #2 every time I am exercise my privileges within the limits prescribed under section 4.3. It's not like I am asking for the third coupon. I do however have guest #2 sometime, and they are usually still in the bed while I am out grabbing our breakfast at the Bistro with my coupons. The reason why I had to use up 2 coupons is because it's just not practical to get breakfast with only $10 F&B credit because a breakfast sandwich and a coffee could easily cost $15 at the Bistro. I don't think it's right for hotel to question whether or not my guest #2 is actually here because it's non of their business. Perhaps next time I will bring a Teddy bear just for their questioning?
