JetBlue cancellation question
I booked a flight on JetBlue for later this week using now-expired Travel Bank funds plus a $10 credit card payment. The booking is supposed to offer free cancellations or changes as per current booking rules, and there’s also a schedule-change notice in the booking that may or may not (?) be allowing additional flexibility or refund options.
I currently have a cold and need to change or cancel the trip, but the web site is trying to charge me $100 for any type of change, even same-day to different flights. (I tried that just as a test; I probably shouldn’t fly until at least next week.)
When I try the “cancel flight” option, it’s giving me two choices: Travel Bank or Original Form of Payment.
In my case, having booked with Travel Bank + $10 on a credit card, is there any practical difference to which refund option I choose? If I refund to Travel Bank, will it yield a new expiration for the whole amount, or just for the $10 in new money, with the existing, now-expired Travel Bank funds disappearing? (I assume refunding to Original Form of Payment would result in a $10 credit card refund and the Travel Bank money being refunded to the old, now-expired Travel Bank account, but not sure of that, either.)
Thanks for all feedback.
