I think raising the temperature might make passengers a bit more drowsy, particularly after a meal service, but I'm pretty sure that most people will sleep better, and for longer, when the temperature is turned down.

So, cabin crew, for a quieter journey overall (and more candy-crush time) turn the dial down rather than up.
