This looks like a bug, as Super Sparpreis on 1st class comes with a seat reservation included. Are you sure you are on first class ?
If yes, then what I would do, rather to try to get it on a inflexible system that will not let you do it, is to simply pay to make a separate seat reservation. Document everything, then claim the extra reservation cost after the travel is done.
