AS does predominantly use the 321neos to DCA plus SFO-JFK and SEA-JFK. They also fly some shorter west coast runs. I have long thought the 321neo would be perfect for more of the transcon flights, but the trouble is that ten is a pretty small fleet. If they had say twice that many, it might make sense to upgrade the product a bit with better F seating, avod dedicated for long-hauls. But with only ten and usually one out for maintenance, they can really only serve a small percentage of transcons with these aircraft. Personally, I’d love to see them deployed on more flights to BOS since they are among the longest transcons.
