will this transit put additional requirements onto me (US resident, fully vaccinated and planned to do the BinaxNow at home test)?
at my mom’s and the internet is very spotty so my excuses for not being able to do a lot of research
Hi,

Going via LHR- You will need to complete a Passenger locator form ( PLF) within 48 hours prior to arrival in the UK ( indicate that you are in transit) . There will also be a tranfer passenger security check at LHR ( no need for immigration if on one ticket).
This assumes a same alliance flight ( ie *Alliance or oneworld) . Depending on the airline to the US , flights depart from T2,T3 & T5. There may be a terminal transfer ( by bus)
