You can call directly into Business Platinum Travel (not Expedia) and book the specific fare code using one of their agents for $39.

Not getting the 5x directly with the airline is a con.
If it cost me $39 to book with an agent, it pretty much negates the 5x earning then. The Biz Platinum would be too good if it earns 5x booking directly so I guess AMEX wouldn't allow that.

Although the Amex insurance caps out at just $800 (IIRC), the deductible is lower ($50) than what I was paying for express replacements. This won’t cover the cost of an express replacement but it should be enough to get things fixed when I inevitably break my phone during the year. This (iPhone 13 Pro Max) is the first time I didn’t get Apple Care+. Seems great on paper but I have yet to try to exercise the insurance in practice. We’ll see.
I also upgrade my iPhone every year. However, I do buy a case. I can never justify getting AppleCare.

What do you mean by "like new"? Does Apple replace your iPhone with a refurbished iPhone?

Maybe you can can explain to me the value proposition with AppleCare. I can't convince myself to get it.

Would love to see some dps about how the credits work. I'm also interested in the Adobe credit, but I don't know how it works.

The new Biz Platinum is definitely a very good card and IMO, it's better than the Personal Platinum.
