I am trying to use a flight credit in my name for my daughter, and so far it has been a royal pain. These can't be processed online, and I am currently on my 4th call trying to get this booked. The first couple of agents argued that I was wrong, but eventually agreed that it was possible. It seems the agents have to get a waiver from a "resolution supervisor" to make this happen, and the hold time for the agents to do this internally is very long. I have been variously cut off and put back at the end of the hold queue for a new agent. I appealed to AA on Twitter, but they just said "call reservations and they can help". Womp.
