Hi everyone,

I just had a very unpleasant surprise regarding my OW Sapphire benefits on an Iberia flight as a BA silver client. I booked a flight on ba.com, including a trip with iberia. Already on the iberia website I have noticed that I cannot select my seats of the Iberia flights free of charge even though my BA Exec number was included correctly. I called IB and they told me that they don't give free seat selection to Sapphire Status (not to any status actually). Also, I don't have the free luggage available and have to pay extra.

Does anybody know when this changed? I had an IB flight in August and it was no problem at all to select seats or have free luggage.

That's obviously a huge downgrade of the OW benefits.
