The website/app multi-city search isn't for trying to book one-way bound trips with stop-over, it's for booking open-jaw returns, I THINK.

If you want to have a stop-over, you got to run it through an AC agent.
You could be right, but any guidance from the website would be more than what's there now, and again having called the agents it seems like they're running the searches the same way I am.

Sidenote: I called at like 0405am PST today, been on hold 30 minutes already. What the hell? For the people who actually do HUACA, are you all SE? I'm not anymore and the amount of time spent on hold is nuts, as with many call centres these days. I'd love to be able to just stop an agent and say "sorry, it sounds like you really don't know what you're doing, can you patch me through to someone who does?" Rather than going through this F'ing hold music.

edit: I just tried searching open jaw and you might be on to something, normal flights actually showed up for me. The problem then is, ... is the point of calling it "multi-city"? If you're going to be charged as 2 one way bounds, why not book them that way? I guess again having only 1 cancellation fee is a positive, but the negative being maybe an instance occurs where you only need to cancel half the ticket, not the whole thing, and I don't think you can do that without potentially losing and repricing your ticket.
