Check In Check-in was efficient. My gold status was recognized and information about bfast and the shuttle to downtown was given. There must have been some misunderstanding about the shuttle hours because we understood that there was only one shuttle running in the morning and one in the evening but it turned out that they run every 15 mins.They offered to help us with our luggage and showed us our room. We were upgraded from a standard room to a deluxe family pool view and a bottle of bubbles and some sweets were waiting for us in the room. Room Our room was modern and spacious. Balcony overlooks the pool. It is spacious for 2 but might be a little small for 4 though. The TV has lots of channels.The bathroom has a walk-in shower.The hotel is relatively new and you could see that in the room.Housekeeping cleaned our room every day without us asking. They were busy all day and sometimes our room was done when we returned from breakfast, other days they came by around 4PM.The hotel has a little bit of an odd layout. Some rooms are in the main building on one side of the street. The restaurant, pool, and other rooms are on the other side of the street. These rooms are organized in blocks of 4 and each block has its own entrance from the street. Service We took the shuttle to downtown on a daily basis so we met a lot of the staff. (Receptionists were running the shuttle). All of them were cheerful, chatty, and helpful. The same goes for the people working in the restaurant. Location The hotel is a little outside downtown Sesimbra and the beach. It is just a short walk but it is steep. Going to downtown is downhill, coming back is uphill.We walked it once and it is just a 10 to 15-minute walk but the shuttle is just so easy that we used it most of the time.You can reserve the shuttle using the chat in the Marriott App but it is better to use the WhatsApp number because that mobile phone is in the car with the driver and those messages are seen instantly. (for example in case you need to reschedule at the last minute) Dining Bfast had a large selection. We stayed a full week and it did not become repetitive. They have omelets made to order and fresh orange juice (and much much more of course.)Dinner was only buffet at this time, as we do not like buffet we always went to Sesimbra for dinner. Overall If I ever have the chance I would rebook this hotel without thinking twice. They told us they were currently working on a hotel in the Lagos area. They were in discussion with Marriott about it. It will take some years to be completed (somewhere 2023)If it is run as good as this one that could be an excellent choice for the Algarve.Sorry that this review has no pictures.I tried adding pictures but I got an error message that they could not be uploaded to the server.
