Bumping this thread in hopes someone can explain the regulations to me... Here are my details:
- US citizen, fully vaccinated
- Will be traveling in Thailand before flying back to the US
- Have an Emirates award ticket (booked in a year ago in hopes that SG would re-open) SIN-DXB-USA
- Would like to book a separate ticket BKK-SIN with a ~5 hour layover to my Emirates flight
- EK's only CAAS-approved transfer partner appears to be Jetstar Asia, but they don't fly BKK-SIN the day we need to travel, and in any case, this wouldn't be booked as a single ticket
Can I board a flight to SIN from a non-VTL country (which would normally require that I quarantine on arrival) and instead stay in the airport and connect on a separate ticket to Emirates? Or is that prohibited for all nationalities/itineraries?
