Sweet potato pie to me is another one of those things that makes Thanksgiving "meh". It tastes more like a dessert than a side dish, but if I were to rank the desserts I want, it's pretty much at the bottom. It's kind of like when I was growing up in the 70s and mom would serve jello with fruit and whipped cream as a "salad" or side dish...just didn't make sense on the table. And I realize not liking sweet potato pie is unlikely to be a popular opinion here!

I do like that we're having a Thanksgiving discussion a month in advance though .
Ah, I assumed sweet potato casserole was savory, not sweet. Like some kind of root vegetable casserole.

And I get two Thanksgivings. One here in Canada this past Monday and one next month in the US. Lucky me!
