Expanding on this, the only IFE you will find (other than streaming wifi) in the AA narrowbody fleet is a handful of Airbus 319's and 321's (including all of the subfleet of A321T transcon planes). You won't know if you have it until you board the plane. This website does a pretty good job of staying up to date on which planes still have the screens (AVOD) and which one have been converted to BYOD.
