Post What's done is done.

Howdy,

Figured I'd let ya'll know how it turned out.

I pulled the trigger before most of ya'll responded. However - I'm with what I've done.

We're taking a big family trip to London and Italy in the spring - and I'll two hotel rooms (wife and I, son and mother-in-law going on the trip). I'll be needing 6 nights in each city (although how I'm going to get 4 GLONP awards is another story - even I don't stay enough in a year to get that many...we'll see what happens then...) anyway - I digress.

In short; I ended up feeling that while I could have done better - I didn't do too badly.

The reviews I read here and elsewhere convienced me that the Paris Hilton was most likely better suited for my wife and I. The rate I ended up with was 408.54 EUR (includes tax and service charges) I think this works out to $263.25 per day ($526.50 total for both days).

I hope I we get upgraded; what started out as a point/mile trip has ended up costing a few dollars.

I did request an upgrade when I booked (oh - to get this rate - I had to pre-pay and reserve the smallest room they have).

I hope this works out

(Oh, as a side note; while I was going to book the airfare with points - I got a good ticket price, so paid for those too)...

Anyway - I really appreciate all the recommendations of resturants, things to do, etc...

Please - if anyone has more ideas for me; let me know.

When I get back I'll file a trip report and let ya'll know how it worked it.

Keep the faith,
