The Barclays Aviator card holds out the promise of 60,000 AAdvantage miles along with a $99 annual fee even for the first year (per the Barclays site).

Hpwever, several blogs no doubt earning a commission, indicate that the annual fee is waived for the first year.

How safe would it be to apply through these third parties - what are the chances that the miles do not post until the $99 fee is paid? Does anyone have any personal experience to relate?
