Can we also please refrain from using the word gate? Terrible people throughout time have committed atrocities and genocide through the use of gates.

Context is key. I don’t believe anyone was making a reference to racism against immigrants or WWII genocides.

Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I would wager that gate lice is a reference to head lice.

People huddling around the gates before their boarding groups was definitely less common during peak pandemic, likely at least in part due to a reduction in overall passengers.

Now that travel is back in swing, there are definitely people and groups occupying and blocking the gate areas unnecessarily. Sometimes this is due to inadequate physical layouts, sometimes it’s due to inexperienced travelers, and sometimes it really is people trying to get a jump on boarding.
