Believes? I would not be so sure. Yes, they assert the right etc. But that by no means necessarily implies they believe they have the right. Rather, they write this in the hope that most suckers will believe they do. Intimidation.

(Not necessarily claiming they are worse than the rest of the world. Just that that's what corporate lawyers are paid to write.)
