Yesterday, arriving about 45 minutes before the flight, the kiosk gave our family of four: A21, A22, A34, and A43. I was surprised and the agent said they were likely recycled numbers from cancellations. Only issue was our 2 year old was A43, so the agent made us wait until A43 to board.
We were happy with our seats so I'm not complaining, but curious if it's common to use non-consecutive boarding positions (especially with children)?
