There is an interline, but AA has a policy of notbthrougj checking bags on separate tickets (even AA to AA). This change fits in with the biggest three's new attitude that they are eligible enough to seve almost everybody and they don't want to make it easier to pay lower fares then what they file for a city pair. AA just went a little farther than the others.
