One point that intrigues me: I quite often find that the temperature on a plane is fine until after the meal service has finished and the lights are turned down, when it appears to become warmer. Do the crew actually increase the cabin temperature when they think the majority of people will be sleeping (definitely not a good idea for me!) or ... is my metabolism working overtime because of all of the food and drink I've just consumed?
I actually overheard UA FA's who said after the dinner service 'let's heat and make them sleep' (or something like that).
I think the calculation is higher heat = more sleep = less service requests = more time to play candy crush
Agree with all others as well re/ cold is better than hot, it was just blowing in face in the last row of the 787... but maybe I was more sensitive given the cold I already had.
