It sounds like the system hasn't recognised your status.
Although I've not flown from SOU, I've flown CityFlyer on its BHD, MAN (a few years ago) and LCY bases and never been asked to pay to select a seat
Thank you! Yes it was as simple as missing frequent flyer number. This was a FTV booking so it must not have pulled through. All sorted. I thought I'd been able to choose on the occasional flights I've taken from LCY.
