The way I understand it, you'd have to cancel the booking and rebook, but there's no guarantee that the reward seats would reappear for you to rebook so that wouldn't necessarily work. Regarding the no-show I don't know, but you'd forfeit TFCs on one passenger in that case. Hopefully someone can confirm soon.
