YVR Airside (Int'l Section) always had Peak & Valley situation Pre-Pandemic.
Except for now, there are no Peaks, only Valleys.
If Big Brother had money to throw away (like the old days), a CAAC type of lounge I say would be more likely.

Airlines using lounges of other alliances at outstations is not new. For example, LH used the BA lounge in SEA about 10+ years ago, and ANA used the BA lounge at JFK.
Theres very little need for that.
The SEA customers can either stay on the plane like the old JFK-YVR, or they will be booted in the holding pen.
Your consideration would only be ex-YVR or mostly Domestic Canada traffic, in which case AC Domestic MLL is there.
I have to imagine if Asia opens up more, then YVR Int'l MLL will then also open in due time.
Both YYZ Int'l and YUL Int'l MLL have reopened in the past 90 days after traffic has somewhat recovered.
