Something that important I would never use email, online form or chat with someone. I would call a real person and resolve the problem. I did that to fix my name and it was done immediately with both Delta and Emirates. I only use online forms for non-important issues.
Well… I originally called to ask and was directed to complete the online form, which makes sense because you need to submit your new documents.
