Technically, I suppose you're correct. No one here has stated that they were personally denied points.
But, you seem to be ignoring my post. I did once work in a hotel where we always blocked giving out points (because the owners wanted to save a few bucks) unless the name on the room matched the name on the credit card.
Is it a rare occurrence? Absolutely. Few hotels are that miserly. But, it does happen.
