TL;DR thoughts:

STR Suite showed a lot of signs of wear. Not great.
Very very very unpleasant experience with a staff member here over the phone. Never had anything like this happen before. I didn’t report it/complain but tbh, I should have.
I shifted 3 of my upcoming staycations to the Peninsula and the Mandarin Oriental

BUT

The architecture of the hotel itself is still so beautiful
The location is ideal for anyone that is interested in high-end shopping, especially for jewelry
The breakfast benefit itself is very generous
I was given a suite upgrade to the very spacious STR Suite
