Name Change for Skymiles Account
Hey Folx,
I want to share my process for updating the name in my Skymiles account. I filled out the form online in early August after I received my new passport with my new name on it. I received the automated confirmation email with a case # but that was the end of it. I decided to complete the form again on Sept 29 and add more support documents. Again, nothing.
So yesterday I contacted Delta via messages. The agent was super helpful. They asked for my latest case # and after 5 minutes said I could refresh the app. Indeed, the info had been updated!
Then, they helped me update the name on some of my upcoming reservations. It was also a very fast and smooth process. Overall, this was awesome service from DL—despite the two-hours it took to be connected to an agent (I’m only SM).
If someone made a similar request via the online form, I strongly recommend following up via messages.
