Here's a q -- on the maps I noticed that the size of the 2L/2R doors on the 789 and 78X are larger than the size of the 3L/3R doors. Is that because the inflatable emergency slides are larger?
It relates to the size of the inflatable raft housing. Single lane slide-rafts are fitted at doors 3L/3R so the housing doesn’t project so far into the cabin as dual lane rafts.
The linked diagram shows the raft arrangement on UA’s 787-8:

I am so glad you brought this us up since I have just noticed the 787-8 diagrams incorrectly show housings for dual lane rafts at 3L/3R
