If it's really important that your credit card account is used, can you get a supplementary card issued in your wife's name?

The Hilton app doesn't ask for the cardholder name when booking, and I switch between cards in my name and my wife's name all the time whether she is with me or not - the main reason being to achieve spend offers which are different for both main and supplementary cards, so I do have to use my wife's card numbers sometimes.

Here in the UK, I haven't needed to show a physical card to check in to Hiltons for years, including before covid, so there's no way they would know whose name the card on file is in, but of course it's not like that in every country.

Furthermore some of my cards do not have numbers any more, I wonder how that's going to work when a future hotel does want to see the card.
