Italy will accept any kind of test. We just got in using a rapid antigen test. You'll have to show your test results at check-in, and possibly at a transit point, but there was absolutely no one checking anything upon arrival at FCO (unlike ZRH and VIE).
We've done the Walgreens Rapid PCR several times for other destinations and it's a great option.

No. I've read a lot on this subject and seems the best way is to find the test that your airline approves. if its AA - then the BinaxNOW proctored test purchased through eMed is the one. I ordered it last week and they came the next day.
No!!!! You must conform to your destination's requirements. The airline has no say whatsoever in the matter.
