Yes, this is a clear issue with Amex - I have had lots of stays recently posting incorrect Amex points because hotels are not labeled correctly as Bonvoy properties. With Chase credit cards I simply send an online message and they credit the missing points painfully, but my experience with Amex has been dreadful: they told me I need to contact the hotel to fix the points - sorry but that should be Amex's job, not mine. And even after alerting them one year ahead of time, still not fixed one year later, I get the wrong points when returning to the same hotel. Needless to say I am not impressed with Amex.
